The Betty Sessions At Windell’s II

When we wake up we are Stuntin.

On Sunday we went to Windell’s for another Betty Box Contest and immediately upon arrival had to wax our ashy dry bases. Luckily JB was there to help out.  He even made sure we had the right base plates when one Betty switched her board from a Burton to GNU B-Nice.  B-Nice=Berry Nice

We Headed to Chrissy’s Cabin and said hey while she got some gear together.

Libby & Moo Were there looking cute too.

We were ready and drove up to timberline to for some Betty Box Practice.

With Both Camps In Session the line was a little longer than last time.

This is the view from the top of the lift.  We don’t know what it is about Grenade pants that makes boys look so cute?!

So after a few laps and a Red Bull from camper Reed we met up with Celia to Start the Betty Box Contest:

We hiked up to drop it like a booty in the club.

The day on hill wound down after the excitement of such a stiff Betty competition. We were starvin and had to relax with some Hamburgers from Calamity Jane’s Hamburger Parlour.

We had shredded and our bellies had been fedded.

All that was left for the night’s activities was Disorientation Ceremony. This is held the last night of every session.  Campers get lots of awesome free stuff and Betty Rides hands out our prizes to the contest winners.

There was one last thing we had to do before the night would be complete; a quick visit to say hey to all the cute diggers and bros chillin at the Arc. Hey Boys…..

Love The Sac!

As you might have heard, we here at Betty Rides are some of the luckiest and prettiest most pimpin’ girls in Oregon which must be why LoveSac consented to getting together and making some Global Love Vibes.

They helped us Stoke out our Windell’s Cabin with a LoveSac!!!!

For those of you that are wondering what is LoveSac, it is the chair equivalent of a pimp hat. Stuntin Iz A Habit.

A MovieSac is a hug comfy sac for flopping on that is big enough for two people to watch a movie on comfortably, but you can really fit like five.

Get Well Soon Randa!!!

Last week Randa called to tell us she had broken her neck. We were so worried and her phone was off!

Since she is so tough and flexible and pretty and smart (she was a math major in college) she is well on her way to making a speedy recovery.

We just want to say to Randa that our hearts and thoughts are with you and we will be by your house to check in and for some toast with butter this weekend.

Our Little Angel

Yesterday was a holiday in Betty Rides Office Land. What is all the commotion about?

It is the birthday of our founder and tribe chief, Janet! She is really turning out to be such a nice young lady. We couldn’t be more proud!

Janet founded Betty Rides in 1993. That is even before the dawn of the first girl’s specific board! She says, “We don’t sell clothing, we sell compliments!”

Happy Birthday to our little earth angel! May all your hopes and dreams come true!

Do I Have GLV?

Maybe this is something you have asked yourself while looking in the mirror after a shower? Do I have GLV?

What Is GLV? How do I get it?

Do you know about the GLV, aka the “Global Love Vibe?” Its a real law of nature and is highly transmittable through everyday human and interspecies contact. We are always giving it to people by accident. It just happens when you do things like be nice and pretty and smart, and making really awesome snowboard clothes!

Friday night we were driving towards Mt. Hood, trying to keep the GLV in the Betty van, when we found ourselves at Tim Windell’s house. There had been GLV going around the office in Portland and by this time we were famished hungry soliders and hoped the man would live up to the legend.

Our hopes and dreams came true! Tim is an ah-mazing cook and had a BBQ spread that looked like thanksgiving.

Dinner was full on! (Tim wouldn’t be photographed in his lacy apron and cooking mitts but we did catch him doing his best Jack Nicholson impression during dinner).

We Had donut cake! Staccato Gelato on NE 28th Ave makes awesome donuts! Sometimes the Fairy Princess donuts taste like grape flavoring and we don’t really love that because they are our favorite donuts. We also like the Prince of Darkness donut which is chocolate with chocolate frosting and chocolate jimmy’s. Yum, yum, Yeah, Yeah!

The Betty Sessions At Windell’s

Betty Rides went up to Windell’s for our first day at camp this summer! We were there to host our Betty Box Contest.

For some of us it was our first day at camp ever. Some advice for your first day of camp: Bring water, use sunscreen and a Bandanna. Good concealer won’t always take the red out of a bad goggle burn.

Since we forgot both these things it was a good thing we ran into Kenny in the parking lot and shared some of his Zinka….

Kenny is soooo cute. Certifiable fo-sho!

We headed up the lift and this is what we could see…

Dude…..is that Dave Schiff coming up on the lift?? I heard he is a skier Now.

They have a magic Dragon on the hill. It breathes fire and the is how they shape the pipe.

A day riding at camp probably wouldn’t be half as good without some nice friends to go along with you. Luckily we met up with some other Betties to show us around on our first day of camp.

So then it was 12:00 noon and time for a show down. There weren’t too many girl campers in attendance, however Spencer was down to play BETTY with us. She showed us whats up with her box skillz. I think our sunburn might have gone to our head and was no help  in nailing all our box tricks-sheesh.

After sessions with Spencer we hiked the pipe and more boxes as the lifts close at 1:30 but the park is open til 3:00.

While hanging in the afternoon sun we got to know some cute boys.

We just got back from our trip east to decorate our cabin at Windell’s summer camp AKA “The Funnest Place on Earth”. Girl campers will be staying there this summer so we just had to pimp and pop it like only BETTY can.

BTW, we are hosting a Betty Box Contest the Seventh day of every session at Windell’s. Girls only of course! We are also sponsoring the girls most improved award.

And Yeah, Uh HUh, we do get to ride the snowboard park and to skate BOB, skate the bowls, skate the driveway, and skate the big ramp!! Eye carumba! Grande sorprendiendo!!
