What did you think of snowboarding the first time you tried it?
I hated it… hahaha. My butt hurt from falling and my arms hurt from picking myself up off the hill all day. I was like this is the worst sport ever. But then a week later i gave it another try and stuck with it.

What inspired you to become a pro rider?
I never really though about being pro so much. I knew all i wanted to do was snowboard and i never really had my heart 100 percent in anything else except for snowboarding. I figured, well, if I’m gonna do this then i better do it now while I am young so I don’t regret anything later.

Where’s the best place you’ve travelled to ride?
Honestly, i love Colorado. I have then best time here and we have all different kinds of terrain to ride. I like seeing other places but i think i always have the best time when i am here at home.

What about someplace you really want to go?
I really want to go and experience Japan. It seems so awesome and i love sushi!

Say you were independently weathly and owned your own helicopter, would you still do snowboard competitions, or just have Jeeves fly you to the top of mountains?
Yeah i would be all set! I could go anywhere i want and ride the best terrain in the world.. why would you do anything else?

You’ve had some impressive results so far this season.  Who’s the pro rider you most want to beat?
Well i am not really out to get anyone haha but i mean the top riders right now are like Jamie Anderson and Marie-France Roy. If I can just be in contest with them, I will feel blessed, ‘cause they kick butt!

Pirates or Ninjas?
Pirates

What would make the best pet, a unicorn, or a dragon?
Probably a unicorn ‘cause it wouldn’t burn my house down.

Competing or filming?
Filming

When you’re an old lady snowboarder, do you want to get more into the business side of things?  Or would you just get an entirely different job?
I think I would always like to stay in this industry. Its kinda in your blood so i can’t see myself ever not being involved in snowboarding.

Who’s your favorite pro rider?
My Boyfriend

Backcountry powder or sunny park?
Backcountry….. Its so fun being out by yourself with a few of your friends having the time of your life

Anything else you’d like to add?
Just thanks to my family and friends and all my sponsors that support me and allow me to continue doing what i’m doing! XOXOXO

Keep shreddin’ Celia! You rock!!
